Zoetica Live
Zoetica Live: The Artist is in Crisis, swinging like a pendulum from Soundwalk to Alternate Reality Game.
Zoetica Live is a strategic intermedia art project currently deployed in the Greater Montreal Region, Quebec, Canada.
The basic premise is to follow an artist in real-time as he travels around a given region. Incidents or reports take on the form of basic experiences. Thus, the categories of incidents are basic human emotions.
In this way, the artist creates a sort of Psychogeographic Map of his subjective states. The artist in question, i.e. Zoetica Live (a pseudonym), is an Intermedia Artist: He is a professional painter, a poet and writer, and an ambient sound designer (studied computer-assisted sound design at Trebas Institute in Montreal, Quebec). Intermedia Art means creating in an intermediate space between media. Intermedia Art is part Internet Art, Mobile Art, Art in the Cloud. It is a form of Computation Arts, yet with a background in Fine Arts.
The idea is also to link media files to these emotional Incidents, making Zoetica Live a form of NoiseMap, where the Incidents are reports about the "moral temperature" or "moral climate" of a specific locality, at a specific time of day.
By aggregating these states on the map, the artist leaves his internal states as legacy and as archive.
Zoetica Live is a strategic work because it makes specific use of the Cloud and therefore also of Cloud Economics. It is also a work of great intimacy, where the artist gives up his privacy as a sacrifice in the name of Truth, Beauty, & the Greater Good.
But the artist is in crisis and needs your help. More soon on how you can help the artist in Zoetica Live.
